Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good." - Romans 12:9
Can you hate evil and be a loving person? Yes. But, it surely isn’t easy in today’s world. So often the world teaches us that what is evil is good, and what is good is evil. But the Bible says, “Abhor what is evil and cling to what is good.” Can you do this and be a loving person? Can you love a person in spite of their sin? the answer is not only “yes,” but it is imperative.  God loves us in spite of our sin and He calls us to love other as He loves us.
Do you even know what evil is? Evil is usually seen as the dualistic opposite of good.
Let me suggest this: Jesus is the perfect picture of God in a man. What He says is evil in His Word…is evil. What He says is good…is good. No one has ever hated evil more than Jesus, and no one has ever been more loving than Jesus. His life, His spirit, and His character show us how to hate evil and, at the same time, be a truly loving person. Hate what Jesus hates…sin. And love who Jesus loves…people…all people. This will get you off to a good start in hating evil and being a loving person.

WHAT WILL YOUR “SENTENCE” BE?

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4:12
In 2009, Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich, who was accused of having seriously abused his political power, was impeached. He had been very articulate in defending himself, saying he was unjustly accused and hadn’t done anything worthy of being kicked out of office or going to prison. Then, he was voted 59 to zero by both Republicans and Democrats to be impeached – a universal, overwhelming vote of judgment. He was doomed. They said he was guilty. He said he was not.
Sadly, that situation represents how most people are with God. We look around at others and think, “Well, I’m not as bad as they are. I’m pretty good most of the time, so I should be able to get into heaven.” “You see, me and God, we’ve got an agreement. We’ve got things worked out.” Let me make this clear – if you feel you can be right with God in your “own” way, you’re going to get to the end of your life, stand before God, and the vote will be unanimous: you’ll be doomed. All of us are sinners, yet amazingly, God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins – to be a substitute in facing the sentence we actually deserve. So, if we feel like there is any way we can receive salvation other than through Jesus Christ, we are showing blindness to our own sinful ignorance. It’s absolutely appalling to God.
Continue on that course and you’re doomed. But God’s Word gives us some great news. “If we confess our sin, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.”
In the end, will you be doomed or forgiven?

Use Satan As Your Memo Pad. Every time you enter yourprayer time, satan will remind you of something you forgot to do. It may be a telephone call to make, an email to send, but it is designed to break your focus. Keep a memo pad and penhandy as you pray. When satan reminds you of something, simply write it down for later. Then say, “Thank you satan for being my memo pad.” Now, relax and enjoy your time with God.
“Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices,”
(2 Corinthians 2:11).
